Growing interest in Gospel Cafe Ministry

It is encouraging that six churches want to talk about the potential for a Gospel Cafe

Chief Executive – Lawrie Hudson

Pray for Lawrie as he continues to connect with churches and meets up with leaders and Ministers in the city.

Pray for negotiations with Churches regarding the establishment of Gospel cafes that we would only do what God has prepared for us.

Basics Bank – Steve Wright, Sarah Johnson and Rachel Finlayson

Steve is back from holiday and already keen to go!  Continue to pray please for complete healing for his leg, which can still be painful and stiff at times.

Pray for L who has left the Teen Challenge programme after two weeks and returned home.

Pray for Rachel as she befriends and  meets up with F, a Basics Bank client, for coffee.

Please pray for R for her protection from her ex. She is putting her faith in God which is great.

Please pray for C who lost his job. Pray that he will continue to come to church and not let this get him down too much or knock his new faith.

Pray for C as Sarah has offered to take him to the Alpha course.  Pray God will prompt him to get in touch.

Care Van ministry

Pray for the volunteers who give of their time to do the Lunch and Evening Care Van runs,  they show love to the service users by making them feel valued and cared about.

Lunch Time  – the van goes around the city centre Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays giving out practical help. There is now a wider awareness of the Lunch time service Evening Care Van – continues the nightly run, handing out soup, hot drinks and clothing to those who are rough sleeping.

Continue to pray please:

…for those who find themselves homeless and need to access the Care Van

…for the smooth running of both services and for safety for all when the van is out

…for breakthrough in the lives of those who are ministered to through the Care Van, a joint ministry between Edinburgh City Mission and Bethany Christian Trust,

that lives may be changed and turned towards God.

Our sincere thanks for your continued support and prayers for the work of ECM.
