Salvation Army’s support van for sex workers in Leith.
The van is in Leith late on Sunday and Monday night. This service operates in conjunction with NHS Lothian and the charity Sacro with the aim of monitoring the health and circumstances of sex workers. Police Scotland also work closely with these services to ensure the women and volunteers are safe.

Referrals can be made by the Police and Procurator Fiscal as diversions from prosecution. We can also accept referrals from health services, social work, other agencies, other Sacro services and self-referrals.

It can be difficult for women to access services during office hours. Therefore Sacro provide various outreach services, for direct referrals:
- Women’s Clinic, 22-24 Spittal Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9PG. Every Thursday between 5pm-7:30pm.
- NHS Harm Reduction Van, Salamander Street, Leith, EH6 8PG. Every Wednesday evening between 9pm-12am.
- Sacro also provide support within the saunas in Edinburgh.
