Local agencies and practitioners can refer families or individuals for food and clothes support at our Foodbank+ and Clothesbank+ networks using our referral system.
> Crisis Support
We have gathered a list of local drop-in services for people who are in crisis. Edinburgh churches are hearing the call to mission: to open their doors and get involved in outreach, which is impacting our city.
On 15th February 2021, we launched a new online referral system. This requires registration and a login.
Local agencies and practitioners such as doctors, support workers, social workers or church ministers who wish to refer families or individuals for food / clothes support at our Foodbank+ and Clothesbank+ networks can do so using the new system. Click the button below to begin a referral.
If you have not yet registered, please take a moment to do so via the form below.
Referral Agent Registration Form
Please note that our services are provided on a referral-only basis for those who are in extreme financial crisis and have no other way of accessing food.
If you are in food crisis you must find a Referral Agent ie a social worker, housing officer, GP, etc. in order to access a foodbank in our network. You cannot self-refer through this website or by phoning Edinburgh City Mission. We only provide our services in response to a request from a Referral Agent.
If you are a Referral Agent, it is your responsibility to assess your client’s situation, and to ascertain that they are in genuine need of food.
Note: the number of referrals is limited per person per year. Please contact our office if your client has reached the limit.
