Foodbank+ and Clothesbank+
On 15th February 2021, we launched a new online referral system. This requires registration and a login.
Local agencies and practitioners such as doctors, support workers, social workers or church ministers who wish to refer families or individuals for food and clothes support at our Foodbank+ and Clothesbank+ networks can do so using the new system. If you have formerly used the Clothesbank+ referral form on our website, please register using the new system.
If you have already registered as a referral agent, you may access the system via the Referral Login button at the top of this page. If you have not yet registered, please take a moment to do so via the Register button.
If you require emergency food without a referral, please click here.
Please note that our services are provided on a referral-only basis for those who are in extreme financial crisis and have no other way of accessing food.
It is the Referral Agent’s responsibility to assess their client’s situation, and to ascertain if they are in genuine need of food. Please note, the number of referrals is limited per person per year.
Please contact the referrals team if your client has reached the limit, or if you are a referral agent and are experiencing difficulties logging into your online referral account.
An Open Hand
Here to provide parents with presents for their children, so that the door can be opened to celebrating their birthday.
An Open Hand is a partnership between Edinburgh City Mission and Greenbank Parish Church. Referral agencies from across Edinburgh can apply for families who are eligible. They will be able to indicate on the application form specific toys the child would wish. If the referral is successful, this will then be delivered to the family along with the other birthday items.
- We advise that you write relevant details on an external word processor before submitting your application, to ensure you do not lose your progress in case of technical difficulties.
